DTI Region 7 Opens Trade Fair in Cebu to Boost Local Coconut, Agrarian MSMEs

CEBU CITY — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 7 has officially opened two trade expositions in Cebu: the COCONUTPhilippines Central Visayas Trade Fair 2026 and the Central Visayas Negosyo Agraryo Trade Fair 2026.

Both fairs run simultaneously from October 15 to 18, 2026, at the Activity Center, Ayala Center Cebu, Cebu City.

The consolidated platform is implemented under the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP; R.A. 11524) and the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP; R.A. 6657). It features 50 regional micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

The First Regional COCONUTPhilippines Trade Fair showcases food and non-food coconut-based innovations from 30 CFIDP-vetted enterprises, processors, and cooperatives registered under the National Coconut Farmers Registry System (NCFRS).

Meanwhile, the Central Visayas Negosyo Agraryo features 20 DTI-CARP-assisted agrarian reform beneficiary enterprises from Bohol, Cebu, Negros Oriental, and Siquijor, offering diverse food and artisanal products.

Aligned with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s commitment to empowering local farmers, agrarian reform beneficiaries, and MSMEs, the four-day showcase expands market access, facilitates institutional buyer linkages, and strengthens sustainable rural livelihoods across Central Visayas.
