CENTRAL VISAYAS – The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 7 (DSWD-7) – Central Visayas, together with the Social Welfare Employees Association of the Philippines (SWEAP) and the Social Welfare Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative (SWEMC), holds the 2026 DSWD General Assembly under the theme "Lambigit."
Derived from a Cebuano word that conveys the idea of being connected, linked, or united, "Lambigit" symbolizes the strong bonds that bring DSWD-7 personnel together in pursuing a common purpose. It reflects the spirit of collaboration, shared responsibility, and solidarity among employees in building a stronger and more service-oriented organization.
The gathering serves as an avenue to strengthen unity, promote employee welfare, recognize shared achievements, and reinforce the commitment of DSWD personnel to responsive and quality social welfare services.
A Thanksgiving Mass officiated by Rev. Fr. Peter Monteron opens the activity. He emphasizes that a life given in love is never wasted.
"If you belong to DSWD, you have to work hard and show love in your service," Monteron encouraged.
In her message, Regional Director Shalaine Marie S. Lucero emphasizes the importance of unity, shared responsibility, and teamwork in advancing the department's mandate.
She also highlights the need to strengthen the One DSWD Team, promote benepisyo, pribilehiyo, ug serbisyo for the Angels in Red Vest (ARVs), and enhance preparedness for El Niño as the organization continues to deliver responsive and compassionate social welfare services.
The assembly also features the presentation of the Field Office's priority agenda, the SWEAP General Assembly, the celebration of SWEMC's 15th anniversary, and the launching of cooperative initiatives. The LAMBIGIT 2026 Expo further showcases government services, private partners, and sustainable livelihood program (SLP) products, complemented by activities that foster camaraderie and collaboration among employees.
Through this collective effort, DSWD-7 continues to nurture a culture of panaghiusa, pag-amuma, ug serbisyo, working together toward a more HAPSAY, empowered, and service-oriented organization.
"Maglambigit kita alang sa mas HAPSAY nga DSWD-7!" the field office said.
