CEBU CITY – Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival said the city government is continuing to improve its road network to make daily travel safer, easier, and more convenient for constituents.
The city's Department of Engineering and Public Works (DEPW) is working on infrastructure projects in Barangay Pit-os, Barangay Pulangbatu, and Sitio Cantipla in Barangay Tabunan. These include road asphalting in Pit-os, the development of a temporary access road in Pulangbatu, and slope protection works in Tabunan.
According to Archival, the improvements are especially important for communities that rely on accessible and dependable roads for their daily activities. He said the city recognizes the challenges faced by residents in upland barangays and remains committed to addressing their infrastructure needs through practical and responsive solutions.
"Dili lang kini bahin sa pag-ayo sa atong mga dalan," Archival said. He added that the projects are about improving connectivity, supporting livelihoods, and ensuring that communities have safer routes and better access to essential services.
The mayor said the city will continue to work closely with city departments and barangay officials to move the projects forward and deliver improvements that residents can benefit from.
