Vice President Sara Duterte attended the 18th Founding Anniversary and General Membership Assembly of the Valencia City Government Employees Union in Valencia City, Bukidnon, according to a post on her official Facebook page.
In her message, the Vice President said she was happy to join the local government workers of Valencia City in their anniversary celebration. She said the gathering was made more special and meaningful because it coincided with the celebration of Civil Service Month in September, when the contributions of public servants to the nation are recognized and honored.
She also said Valencia City's success and progress show the importance of unity, cooperation, and good relations between the private sector and local government employees. The Vice President urged the union to keep advocating for the rights, welfare, and dignity of every employee, and thanked them for their service. She also thanked the attendees for their continued support for her and the Office of the Vice President.
The post closed with the line: "Mahalin natin ang Pilipinas—para sa Diyos, sa Bayan, at sa bawat Pamilyang Pilipino."
