TOLEDO CITY, Cebu – Cebu Gov. Pamela Baricuatro led the ceremonial distribution of 11,801 school kits for learners from 15 participating elementary schools at North City Central School.
The activity brought another round of provincial education assistance to the city, helping families provide the supplies their children need for daily classroom work.
Beyond the school kits, Baricuatro also turned over 300 armchairs to the Department of Education, adding support for classroom seating.
During her message, the governor announced that an industrial fan would be installed at North City Central School's covered court, an additional improvement intended to make the space more comfortable for students and the school community.
In her social media post, Toledo City Mayor Marjorie "Joie" Perales welcomed the assistance and expressed gratitude for the provincial government's continued support for Toledo's children.
Talavera distribution
The distribution followed the separate activity at Talavera Elementary School, which covered 10,808 school kits for 23 elementary schools. Together, the two distributions covered 22,609 kits for 38 participating schools across Toledo City.
From supplies children use in their lessons to chairs that support their time in the classroom, the assistance addresses practical needs that matter throughout the school day.
