Cloudy Skies, Scattered Rains Over Most of Visayas Today, PAGASA Says
Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected over most of the Visayas today, according to PAGASA's latest weather update. The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is affecting Southern Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao.
PAGASA also said Bagyong Koguma has fully left the country's tropical cyclone domain. A tropical depression remains inside the domain, but it is more than 3,000 kilometers east of Central Luzon. It is unlikely to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility and has no direct effect on the country's weather today.
Aside from the ITCZ, the easterlies are still affecting the eastern portions of Northern and Central Luzon. The Northeasterly Windflow continues to affect Extreme Northern Luzon.
Over the next three days, the ITCZ and the easterlies are expected to affect a large part of the country, especially Southern Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao. The Northeast Windflow is expected to keep affecting a large part of Northern Luzon.
Weather in the Visayas and Mindanao
A large part of the Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms. Northern Mindanao, the Zamboanga Peninsula, and Caraga will have the same conditions.
The remaining parts of Mindanao and the Visayas will have fair weather, with partly cloudy to cloudy skies, except for isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
Weather in Luzon
Metro Manila, a large part of Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, and the Bicol Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms. Benguet, Pangasinan, Isabela, and Aurora will also have cloudy skies. Light rains are expected in Batanes and the Babuyan Islands.
The rest of Luzon will have fair weather, with partly cloudy to cloudy skies, except for isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
Sea Conditions
PAGASA said no high waves are expected today. Residents who plan to go out to sea today can expect safe conditions across the archipelago.
