Compostela's Villacampa reigns as Miss Governor's Cup 2026
Cebu has a new beauty queen. Jhen Leian C. Villacampa, an 18-year-old representing Compostela, was crowned Miss Governor's Cup 2026 on Sunday, edging out 43 other candidates from towns and cities across the province in one of the highlight events of the Cebu Governor's Cup 2026 festivities.
Villacampa impressed the panel of judges with her beauty, confidence, stage presence, and personality, earning her the crown along with a ₱15,000 cash prize. She didn't stop there — she also bagged the Best in Opening Production award, capping off a dominant night for the young titleholder.
Context: A province-wide showcase of local pride
The pageant wasn't just about one winner. It brought together representatives from 44 towns and cities across Cebu, turning it into a province-wide celebration of local talent and community pride. For many of these towns, sending a candidate to the Governor's Cup is as much about representation as it is about competition — a chance to put their community's name forward on a bigger stage.
That spirit showed in how the results played out. The runner-up slots were shared across different corners of the province: Louidine A. Gelig, 20, of Bogo City took first runner-up with ₱12,000; Catmon's Rhea Angellee Baylon, 18, placed second runner-up for ₱10,000; Zamantha Nicole Koleszar, 18, of Moalboal landed third runner-up with ₱8,000; and Mandaue City's Maria Josine Padmos, 18, rounded out the court as fourth runner-up, taking home ₱5,000.
Special awards were spread around too. Koleszar of Moalboal also won Best in Runway, while Pauleen Louise M. Montana, 18, of Daanbantayan was recognized as Miss Friendship — a nod to camaraderie among the candidates during the competition.
Even the local government units that didn't place brought something home, with consolation prizes of ₱2,000 each, reinforcing that the event was designed to highlight unity and community spirit as much as individual competition.
